This Privacy Notice explains how personal data collected through jacielmendez.com is handled, in accordance with Mexico’s Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties.

This is a personal academic website. It is not an official website of the University of Sonora.
2. What data we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, the subject and the content of your message.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and similar data processed automatically by the hosting service and by the anti-spam check (CAPTCHA).
We do not ask for sensitive personal data. Please do not include it in your message.
3. Why we use your data
- To read and answer your message.
- To follow up on academic collaborations, invitations or requests you send.
- To protect the website against spam and misuse.
Your data will not be used for advertising and will not be sold.
4. Who we share it with
Your data is not shared with third parties, except with the service providers that make the website work and that process it only on our behalf: the hosting provider (HostGator), the contact form tool (WPForms) and the anti-spam service (Cloudflare Turnstile). Some of these providers may store data outside Mexico. We will also share data when required by law or by a competent authority.
5. How long we keep it
Messages are kept only as long as needed to answer and follow up on your request, and are then deleted.
6. Your rights (ARCO)
You have the right to Access your data, Rectify it, Cancel (delete) it, or Oppose its use, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To do so, send an email to jaciel.mendez@unison.mx with the subject “Personal data request”, including your name, a way to contact you and a clear description of your request. You will receive an answer within the time limits set by law.
